Illustrations created for The Guardian to accompany a feature on the growing trend of “low-contact” family relationships — where people choose limited interaction with relatives to protect their emotional wellbeing.

My goal was to visually translate the quiet, often invisible dynamics of these relationships. Rather than depicting conflict directly, the illustrations focus on emotional distance, vulnerability, and the delicate balance between connection and separation.
